Who We Are

Paws on Wheels was founded and is owned by Dr. Jessica Lovegrove, DVM. A native Tennessean, Dr. Lovegrove's passion for animals and veterinary medicine began early in life. She is a proud 2019 alumna of the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. After gaining valuable experience in Northern Texas for two years, Dr. Lovegrove returned home to Tennessee, where she worked as a relief veterinarian. Recognizing a clear need for convenient, in-home care in her community, she founded Paws on Wheels to provide a personalized and stress-free veterinary experience for local pets and their families. 

Outside of work, Dr. Lovegrove is a devoted wife, loving pet owner, and avid gardener. She enjoys reading, hiking, and traveling. Dr. Lovegrove also works once weekly with her partner clinic, Sparta Road Veterinary Clinic to further provide services to clients that cannot be provided within the home.

Dr. Lovegrove is the founding president of the Relief Veterinary Medical Association and teaches communication training to her colleagues as continuing education.
