Q: What are the benefits of a mobile veterinary clinic?
A: A mobile clinic offers the convenience of professional veterinary care in the comfort of your home. This is especially beneficial for pets that experience anxiety during car rides or in-clinic visits, for multi-pet households, and for clients with mobility challenges.
Q: What services do you offer?
A: We offer a full range of preventative care services, including wellness exams, vaccinations, parasite prevention and treatment, microchipping, and diagnostic testing (blood work, urinalysis, etc.). We also provide hospice care consultations, in-home euthanasia, and minor sick-pet appointments.
Q: Do you have a physical clinic or office I can come to?
A: No. We perform all of our functions entirely inside of your home.
Q: Do you come inside my home during your visit?
A: While we do not have to, this is often the safest options. If you dog is outside and you wish for he/she to be seen outside, you will need to have you dog on leash for the entirety of our visit. We do not see cats outside.
Q: How do I prepare for a visit?
A: To help us provide the best care, please provide any relevant veterinary medical records and a list of your pet's current medications or supplements ahead of time and have these on hand during your appointment. Please also ensure your pet is easily accessible and that you have a quiet, well-lit space available for the examination.
Q: Do you require vaccines?
A: Rabies vaccination is required by law in the State of Tennessee to be up to date at all times. The State of Tennessee does not recognize rabies titers in lieu of vaccination. This is the only required vaccine, however all core vaccines are highly recommended.
Q: What if my pet has a medical emergency?
A: For medical emergencies, such as a severe injury or sudden, life-threatening illness, please contact your nearest emergency veterinary hospital immediately. We are not equipped to handle critical emergencies, but we can provide referrals and follow-up care.
Q: What is your service area and what are your hours?
A: Our service area includes Warren County Tennessee but we travel to surrounding areas on a case by case basis. Our hours are currently intermittent as we start and grow. You can fill out the "Request an Appointment" form on our website and a team member will be in contact with you as soon as possible.
Q: How does payment work?
A: Payment for services is due at the time of the appointment. We accept cash, credit cards, and debit cards.
Q: How much will my visit cost?
A: Cost of visit is based on location, diagnostics/treatments performed, and prescribed medications. Not all of these can be estimated ahead of time. Prior to scheduling you can request an estimate of Travel Fee, Exam Fee, and any other standard fees. All other costs can be estimated during the visit for you. If you have the weight of your pet, euthanasia costs including cremation can be estimated but not guaranteed prior to your visit
Q: When is the right time to consider euthanasia?
A: This is a deeply personal decision. We can never fully answer these questions for your family and recommend using online assessment tools like the Lap of Love Scale. Our team is available for a compassionate consultation to help you assess your pet's quality of life.
Q: What is the process of in-home euthanasia?
A: The process is designed to be as peaceful as possible for both you and your pet. It typically involves two steps: first, a sedative is administered to relax your pet and ease any discomfort. Once your pet is calm and comfortable, a final injection is administered to gently and painlessly stop their heart. The entire process is quiet and dignified.
Q: Can I be present with my pet during the procedure?
A: Yes, absolutely. We encourage you to be with your pet for the entire process if that is your wish, holding and comforting them in their favorite spot.
Q: What if I do not wish to be present during the Procedure?
A: There is no requirement for you to be present for all or part of the procedure after you have filled out the appropriate paperwork and paid. The veterinarian will still go over what to expect to help you make the best informed decision. Your pet will never be alone through this process and will be lovingly cared for in your absence. We will inquire on any treats you want us to feed them, if you want them on a certain bed or blanket, and if you would like time with them after the procedure prior to removing the remains.
Q: What aftercare options are available?
A: We offer several aftercare options, including communal cremation, individual cremation with the return of your pet's ashes, or taking your pet's body home for burial. We can discuss these options and assist with arrangements to ensure your pet is cared for according to your wishes.
